Become a Volunteer
The entire St. Vincent de Paul organization in Vero Beach is staffed by volunteers; our greatest strength. Sharing your time and your skills can change lives forever. All you need to become a volunteer at our Thrift Shop is a genuine interest in helping our neighbors in need, and the willingness to do something about it in total confidentiality.
To apply, stop by our Thrift Shop during business hours. We ask that you devote a block of 3 hours per week. A manager will answer your questions and schedule you for volunteer training.
Volunteer service skills we always need are:
Interviewing and providing aid to those we help
Cashiers and Register Assistants
Pick up furniture from our Donors
Windows and Mac Computer skills
Accept and sort clothes and household items
Test electrical items like lamps and electronics
Appraise and price collectables and artwork
Accounting and Bookkeeping with Quickbooks
